ANSON CHAN, President
Mr. Anson Chan founded
Asian Marketing Group in 2001. For almost three decades, Mr. Chan has
been a successful business owner, investor and respected community
leader in Texas and beyond. He has extensive experience in the
restaurant industry, real estate brokerage, as well as financing and
development. He is also the principle of a real estate title company.
He has served in numerous nonprofit boards and committees through the
years and had earned great respect from cross-cultural communities.
Mr. Chan emigrated from
Hong Kong
to the United
States and graduated from University of Texas in Arlington with a
Bachelor Degree in Business Management. He has been an enthusiastic
supporter of educational, community and political activities.
Mr. Chan is passionate
in bridging the gap between Asian and American communities especially
in the Dallas/Fort
Worth area. As
the Asian community grows, so does the need for people well versed in
both Asian and American business and politics to contribute their time
and effort towards increasing business and personal opportunities. Mr.
Chan takes pride in his effort to strengthen the presence of the Asian
American and the other communities in business, national, state and
local politics, and community relationships.

JERVIS YANG, Vice
President
Mr. Yang joined Asian
Marketing Group as a Director in Nov. 2004 with expertise in marketing
and strategy planning. Prior to Asian Marketing Group, his work
experience encompasses venture capital project in Internet marketing,
semiconductor, E-Commerce, and information system strategic planning
in both Asia and the US.
Mr. Yang started his
business career as a co-founder and partner of a start-up in Seoul,
Korea in 1992, during which he was involved with all aspects of the
operations from finance to marketing. While working at Samsung
Corporation for 5 years, he was deeply involved with developing
e-commerce strategies for the company as well as performing
competitive market analysis. Mr. Yang has rich experience in
developing pricing and positioning strategies and evaluating and
executing new marketing channels for firms in various industries.
Mr. Yang holds an MBA
from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at
Berkeley and a BA from Seoul National University.
ALAN E. ERICKSEN, Senior
Consultant
Mr. Ericksen brings to
Asian Marketing Group nearly three decades of experience in all facets
of the media business. He has created, produced and directed
television drama, sports, game shows, instructional videos,
educational programming, as well as documentary footage worldwide,
including the North Pole. He has also produced multimedia programming
and has packaged numerous literary properties for major publishing
houses.
As an independent
producer, Mr. Ericksen has developed and packaged many literary
properties, which were published by major publishing houses. Included
are three books written by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Bruce Catton
and published by Doubleday. Two of these books, The Final Fury and
Reminiscences of the American Civil War, were the basis for a
television mini-series.
As Vice President in
charge of production for Heritage Entertainment, in Hollywood, Mr.
Ericksen produced the highly acclaimed television series, Lorne Greeneกฏs
Last of the Wild which was sponsored by General Electric on a barter
basis. He also developed the book, The Gold Crew that was published by
Warner Books and produced as a movie of the week in association with
MGM under the title, The Fifth Missile.
In the early nineties,
Mr. Ericksen negotiated and signed the first Cooperative Research and
Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Department of Energy for
the creation of multimedia based educational programming related to
the construction and operation of the Super conducting Super Collider.
After the U.S. Congress elected to close the Superconducting Super
Collider project, Mr. Ericksen was instrumental in securing a grant
from the department of Energy to create a series of educational CD
ROMs on Superconducting Accelerator Magnets. The work was completed by
MJB Consulting and is presently in worldwide distribution.
Mr. Ericksen brings
global expertise, creativity, energy and an innovative approach to The
Asian Marketing Group.
MAY LI, PhD, Regional Director
Dr. May Li specializes
in the healthcare and biotechnology sector. She has over 10 yearsกฏ
experience as a
marketing analyst and scientific advisor for the medical devices and
bio-pharmaceuticals industry. With numerous patents and scientific
publications Dr. Liกฏs
academic achievements include: BA in Biology from
Cornell University, MA
and PhD from Columbia University and NSF Fellow at University of
Rochester. Born in Berkeley, California, Dr. Li is fluent in English
and Mandarin Chinese. Her interests are in putting together new
technology business ventures in
China
and Asia.
